Taylor International Academy
Renaissance School Services is very pleased to announce the appointment of Cameron Ross Browne as principal of Taylor International Academy. Mr. Browne was raised in Texas, but visited family in Detroit his whole life. He moved to Detroit after serving as a Captain with the Marines in Iraq as an Infantry Platoon Commander. On the basis of that service, he was selected to be a Marine General’s Aide-de-Camp, serving as the General’s junior advisor.
Upon his return to the U.S., Mr. Browne attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education where he obtained a Master’s in Education in School Leadership and Development. He earlier obtained an undergraduate degree in International Studies and Political Science from the University of Miami.
An experienced educator, Mr. Browne has served as a teacher, interim Principal, Learning Director, and educational technologist in the U.S.A., China, South Korea, and Republic of Serbia and has conducted educational projects and initiatives on six continents.
We selected him based on his many talents and accomplishments including service as a United States Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor; his extensive travel and studies in South America, Europe, and Asia as a recipient of a Circumnavigator’s Foundation Global Research Grant; and his ability to speak three languages: Spanish, Portuguese, and Serbian. We are very happy to have Mr. Browne with his considerable record of success and international experiences become the principal of Taylor International Academy to build on the enormous academic progress the school had last year under Renaissance.
He is very excited to bring his experience to Taylor International Academy to serve its students, families, staff, and extended community. Mr. Browne is hosting a coffee hour every weekday morning throughout July and August from 9 -10 AM for any parent, student, or prospective student to visit the school and speak with him. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity and stop by to meet him.
